The Domaine Arnaud Ente in Meursault is considered one of the best-kept secrets of the Côte de Beaune among connoisseurs. Stylistically, the wines sit between the opulent, hedonistic character of Domaine Lafon and the finely nuanced elegance of Coche-Dury. Arnaud Ente's philosophy is to ensure the highest possible care in the vineyard while intervening as little as possible in the cellar. Every wine, from the pure Aligoté to the complex Premier Crus, is treated with the same meticulous attention. With just four hectares of vineyards and a small team of four employees, his bottles are highly sought after by collectors worldwide. Therefore, the few available bottles are sold individually.
We are the official importer for our partner Arnaud Ente and, thanks to our excellent relationships across Europe, we can source rarities of all kinds. Please send us your contact details, and our sommeliers will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

It’s probably no secret that I grew up in a family of hoteliers and restaurateurs. Our affinity for wine has also been a long-standing tradition in our family. However, I had a very personal key experience that truly enchanted me with the world of wine. At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to taste a truly fine Burgundy, and I thought to myself, “If wine can taste like this, then I want to learn more. I want to understand the complexity and uncover the secrets behind it.” That magic has never faded to this day.
The story of the Weingalerie began with the Vinothek, where we aimed to establish a wine shop inspired by the Italian model: eat, drink wine, and buy wine. When the retail space of a perfumery in the Hotel Königshof became available, we rented the area and, together with Mr. di Carlo, started selling wines there. At that time, we had a small selection displayed on a few simple shelves and placed an advert in the Süddeutsche Zeitung. From that point on, the story unfolded, and we were able to fulfil our dream with the Weingalerie: we created a place where the emotions of fine wines can be experienced, and where we can share our passion for wine with our customers.
Appreciation for food and culinary arts has always been an integral part of my life. My parents owned a restaurant by the sea, south of Rome, and even in our private lives, good food and drink were almost sacred to us. After moving to Germany in my youth, I initially didn’t want to pursue a career in gastronomy, but the passion for it never really left me. This is also how I came to know the Geisel family.
When we decided to establish a wine shop, my curiosity overcame all doubts. I wanted to see if we could build something truly valuable. For me, wine embodies pure emotion. When I drink a good wine and close my eyes, I’m transported to distant lands, landscapes, and vineyards. Good wine evokes memories and nourishes the soul. This is an experience I want to share. That’s why the Weingalerie is not just work for me; it is my calling.
As a native Frenchman, I have always had a special interest in Champagne and Burgundy. And while these two regions continue to fascinate me, I wanted to explore even more, to learn more, to discover hidden gems. Training as a sommelier opened the doors to the international stage for me: I have worked in various Michelin-starred restaurants and hotels in Paris, London, and Munich, and had the opportunity to gain experience in Japan and China.
I have been living in Germany for many years now, and during that time, I have had several connections with the Geisel family. Choosing the Weingalerie felt like coming home, so to speak. The atmosphere, the team, and our customers make every day unique for me. The opportunity to pursue my passion for wines every day makes it perfect for me.
In essence, I am a career changer. I never formally studied wine, but it has always been my great passion. I grew up in South Tyrol, and perhaps my enthusiasm for wine and culinary arts was instilled in me from a young age. I developed an early interest in these areas, have been good friends with several winemakers for a long time, and my brother also works in the wine industry. That's why I turned my passion into a profession.
I now have almost 20 years of experience in the industry and have worked with both restaurateurs and private clients. For me, Geisel’s Weingalerie represents the pinnacle of quality and expertise. Everything is just right here: the exceptional customer service, the dedication to providing the best, most demanding wine regions in Europe, and the incredibly knowledgeable colleagues – there is always something new to learn!
