The Lindenburg Lagrein represents the essence of the deeply rooted Lagrein grape variety in the heart of South Tyrol. The vineyards are located in the Lindenburg area of Bolzano, characterized by deep alluvial soils and the interplay of the Talfer and Eisack rivers. These exceptional conditions lend the wine its complex structure and unique character.
The bouquet reveals an intense aroma of fruity, spicy, and leathery notes, complemented by hints of dark chocolate. On the palate, this wine shows a powerful body with vibrant, tannic, and subtly bitter flavors, harmoniously balanced by fresh elegance.
The Lindenburg Lagrein matures partly on the whole grape in large wooden barrels, followed by bottle aging to refine its complexity. It pairs perfectly with red meats, game, and aged cheese.
This wine reaches its optimal drinkability after about 3 years and continues to evolve beautifully for up to 10 years, developing its full depth and elegance.
