A Refreshing Chardonnay from the High Altitudes of South Tyrol – Fruity and Mineral
The Chardonnay grape finds ideal conditions in the calcareous gravel soils of Margreid, Kurtatsch, Salurn, and Buchholz. These high-altitude vineyards provide a cool climate that enhances the wine's characteristic fresh and mineral style.
The Chardonnay presents itself with a bright, clear straw-yellow color with a green shimmer. Its bouquet reveals subtle, fresh aromas of peach, melon, and citrus, accompanied by floral and mineral notes.
On the palate, the wine offers a medium-bodied, balanced structure. It is fruity, juicy, and dry, making it particularly refreshing. Perfect as an aperitif, and pairs well with appetizers, fish, shellfish, poultry, and pasta dishes.
The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks, followed by a period on the fine lees and partially on the gross lees for four months, adding depth to the wine.
The Chardonnay reaches its optimal drinking maturity after about 1 year, but it can continue to develop optimally over a period of up to 2 years.
